Country Universe On Hiatus

Dear Wolf Pack,

Due to other commitments outside of radio, Big Stu will no longer be able to present Country Universe on The Wolf and Sydney’s Alive 90.5 FM.

Planet Country will not be affected and continue airing as normal on The Wolf and Sydney’s SWR Triple 9 FM.

Big Stu begun presenting his brand new solo country music program back in April this year when Planet Country moved to a new time slot and different FM station to allow his Planet Country co-host MJ to undertake part time studies at the Australian Film Television & Radio School.

Both Big Stu & MJ continued their involvement at Alive 90.5 FM following the move to SWR Triple 9. Big Stu utilised the original time slot to launch Country Universe while MJ was elected to the board of the radio station.

Country Universe featured all the great New Country just like Planet Country but with a unique twist. Big Stu’s discussion focused on trending news, his own opinions and industry insights.

Due to new work commitments and the ever-growing time demand that Planet Country has always been, Big Stu was no longer able to make it to Alive to present his show.

MJ opted to fill in, presenting a make-shift Country Universe on Alive following his Drive show shift. As MJ was preoccupied doing a live show, he was not able to set up the neccessary equipment to syndicate the show live on The Wolf.

Big Stu hopes to revive the Country Universe name and brand as a possible reoccurring segment/feature on Planet Country and The Wolf.

I would like to thank both FM radio stations for their support in running the two shows and thank the listeners and the industry for tuning in. This decision was tough but best for me and Planet Country going forwards.
