Chris Lane Pops The Question In New Video

Written by on 21 June, 2019

Rising country-pop star Chris Lane proposed to girlfriend Lauren Bunshell, a former contestant on The Bachelor (US version), in June this year.

Interestingly, Chris chose Father’s Day (US) to propose to Lauren, telling People Magazine:

“I was initially worried that doing it on Father’s Day might not be the best move, but her dad, Dave, said that it could only add to his Father’s Day and that’s when I decided Sunday, June 16 was the day,”

Chris had the cameras rolling to capture the moment, a snippet of footage of the proposal was uploaded to Instagram and the majority of the video has been included in the music video for Lane’s latest single, ‘Big, Big Plans’. The song itself was intended to be a tribute to Lane’s lover for Lauren but in trying to write the perfect song, it lead to Chris deciding to propose.

“Shout out to Lauren’s parents, Dave and Kris, for having the yard in tip-top shape!”

The Wolf Australia introduced Chris Lane to audiences down under when his first single begun to make traction. ‘Fix’ was released back in 2015 and crossed country with pop further than ever before. The risky sound direction by Lane has paved the way for greater pop crossovers such as ‘Miss Me More’ and ‘Need You Now’ by Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett respectively.

Lane followed up on this US country radio No.1 with a number of songs that continued the pop crossover as well as dialing it back a little with his last two singles, ‘Take Back Home Girl’ and ‘I Don’t Know About You’ – both of which featured heavily in rotation on The Wolf.
